What is RE100?
CE100 是什麼？
RE100, meaning "100% renewable energy," is an international renewable energy initiative by The Climate Group and the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), calling on companies to adopt 100% green power production to reduce carbon emissions and environmental pollution, address future fuel shortages and climate change, and enable businesses to operate sustainably.
Since the establishment of RE 100 in 2015, about 350 companies worldwide have responded to RE 100, producing more than 152 billion kWh of green electricity in member countries. This illustrates the future trend of green power use by companies and the rising demand for green power, which will lead to the production and transportation of all products based on renewable energy and the abandonment of traditional fuels that will one day be exhausted.
RE100 in Hong Kong
Members of RE100 HK are required to publicly commit to a phased achievement of 100% renewable energy by 2050 and to report on the progress of green power use year by year.
