Solar PV System Installation Guide Launched

The Chief Executive announced in the 2018 Policy Address and Policy Agenda to further provide support and convenience for individuals and institutions involved in the development of renewable energy. The rooftops of village houses should be installed with photovoltaic systems and brackets no higher than 2.5 meters. The government will also consider moderately relaxing restrictions on other private buildings.
The two power companies launched feed-in tariff schemes this month and January next year and started accepting applications. Initial responses were positive, with the two power companies receiving about 500 applications by the end of last month.
The Government will lead by example to develop renewable energy in appropriate places and buildings, and introduce various facilitation measures to encourage community participation in the development of renewable energy.
