It is reported that the International Energy Agency (IEA) pointed out in the "World Energy Outlook 2018" report released in London, England that the global energy structure is undergoing major changes - from electrification to continuous development toRenewable Energyexpansion, from turmoil in oil production to the globalization of gas markets, wind power andsolar energyPhotovoltaic60% of the increment.

No matter where in the world, no matter what kind of energy source, the policy choices made by governments will determine the shape of the future energy system. The world is gradually building a different energy system, but the three key pillars of the energy system still have obvious shortcomings.

The report pointed out that the main position of global energy consumption is shifting to Asia, but the energy market in 2018 is more complex and diverse than before.

A research report released by market consultancy Frost & Sullivan shows that in 2018, the new capacity of global renewable energy will increase by 13.3% year-on-year to 154.6 GW.

In 2018, global investment in the renewable energy sector will total $228.3 billion, the consultancy said in its report. Due to China's regulation of the photovoltaic industry, the growth rate of investment in the renewable energy sector in 2017 declined slightly year-on-year. Nonetheless, advances in power generation and power storage technologies have made renewable energy increasingly competitive, and coupled with public support for the industry, renewable energy will continue to grow strongly in the future.

In 2018, photovoltaics still accounted for the largest share of global renewable energy capacity additions, reaching 90 GW, compared with 53 GW for wind.
